UN postpones sending aid to al-Rukban camp; Turkey, Russia, France, and Germany meet in Istanbul to discuss Syrian siruation

On Friday, the United Nations postponed sending humanitarian aid to the al-Rukban camp on the Syrian-Jordanian border, 240 kilometers southeast of Homs, Central Syria. The humanitarian aid convoy was scheduled to arrive in tomorrow from the Syrian capital Damascus.

The free Hama Health Directorate announced that unknown persons attacked its headquarters early this morning. The Directorate asked the security services to investigate the circumstances of this case and follow it up.

On Saturday, the presidents of Turkey, Russia, France, and Germany will meet in Istanbul to discuss the political transition in Syria and reinforce the truce in Idlib, Northern Syria, in the presence of the international special envoy to Syria, Staffan de Mistura.

The head of the High Negotiations Committee, founded in the Riyadh 2 Conference, Nasr al-Hariri, stressed that they refuse the Syrian President Bashar al-Assad to stay in power.

On Friday, the UN envoy to Syria, Staffan de Mistura, said that the Syrian government rejected any UN role in forming the constitutional committee.

The Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that Turkey would concentrate its efforts to gain control of the area, which is controlled by the Syrian Democratic Forces and located east of the Euphrates River in Northeastern Syria, instead of wasting time on the city of Manbij in Aleppo countryside.
