Tahrir al-Sham withdraw from major cities in Idlib and Hama, and government forces continue to bomb Eastern Ghouta

Tahrir al-Sham have withdrawn from the areas they controlled as a result of the battles against the Syrian Liberation Front in Northern Syria. The fighters and military vehicles of Tahrir al-Sham withdrew from Mourek, Northern Hama, preceded by their withdrawal from Saraqib and Khan Sheikhoun, Idlib. They withdrew after agreements with the local administrations of the cities.

Local activists said that the Syrian Liberation Front gained control over the towns of Baboulin, Sahyan, Hish and Rkaya after clashes with Tahrir al-Sham, with no details given about the losses.

A civilian was killed and another was injured by clashes between Tahrir al-Sham and the Syrian Liberation Front near the Bab al-Hawa crossing, Syrian-Turkish borders.

Jaysh al-Ahrar said in a statement that six battalions joined the army after defecting from Tahrir al-Sham. The battalions did not want to be involved in the fighting against the Syrian Liberation Front.

On Tuesday, local activists said that several factions affiliated with the Al Qaeda in Idlib and Lattakia merged under the name “The Guards of Religion”.

The activists said that the new faction includes Jaysh al-Badia, Jaysh al-Sahel, Kabul brigade, al-Sahel brigades, Jaysh al-Malahem and Jund al-Sharia, under the command of Abu Humam al-Shami.

In the south of Syria, civilians were killed and injured by the continuing government bombardment of the cities and towns of Eastern Ghouta, in addition to the intense targeting of Harasta and Chifoniyah.

Jaysh al-Islam revealed the failure of six incursion attempts and two infiltrating attempts by the government forces at the front lines near the towns of Hawsh al-Dawahra and al-Rihan. Ninety loyalist fighters were killed and injured by the clashes with Jaysh al-Islam and by anti-armoured vehicle landmines.

Russia issued a five-hour daily ceasefire, two days after the General Council adopted the 2401 resolution, which includes a 30-day countrywide ceasefire, in addition to lifting the siege of Ghouta,  the deliverance of humanitarian aid, and unconditionally evacuating medical cases.

In Daraa, the Martyr Abu Hamza al-Naimi Assembly said that a failed assassination attempt targeted the commander of the assembly by planting two bombs in his car, while he was at the house of Dirar al-Basheer, the mayor of Quneitra. The assembly accused the government or the Islamic State of the assassination attempt.

In the east of Syria, the Kurdish Autonomous Administration increased the tariff of the automobiles that enter their areas by 10% of its price. They also banned importing automobiles manufactured before 2012.

The Qamishli Council, affiliated with the Kurdish Autonomous Administration in al-Hassakeh, finished a fundraising campaign. The council launched the campaign to support Afrin, where clashes between the YPG and factions of the Olive Branch operation are taking place.

International and political news:

An official of the International Committee of the Red Cross said in a statement that they are ready to send humanitarian aid to Eastern Ghouta, but it is not possible within five hours, referring the allocated five-hour ceasefire.
