Free Syrian Army and Islamist battalions launch solidarity battle in Hama

Field and local developments:

The factions of Jaysh al-Izza, Jaysh al-Ahrar, the Syrian Liberation Front, the FIS, the First Infantry Division, the 111 group, the Jaysh al-Shaab, in addition to the gathering of the people of Syria, the brigade of the martyrs of Tremesse, announced that their new battle was launched against the loyalist forces in the northern and central Hama villages in Central Syria, under the name of “Battle Of Anger For Eastern Ghouta.”

This coincides with a mutual bombing between the loyalist forces and the factions operating in the area, where the loyalist forces bombed the cities and towns of al-Latamna, Kafr Zita. The Free Syrian Army (FSA) fighters shelled the loyalist forces’ positions at the strategic Hamamiyat checkpoint near the town of al-Sakilibiya.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, four civilians were injured by a suspected Russian air strike hit the town of Pench, Northern Idlib, including women and children who were transferred to a nearby hospital for treatment, where the raids targeted residential neighborhoods in the city.

Eight members of the Popular Forces militia of the Syrian government were killed by Turkish air strikes hit the Harish checkpoint in the village of al-Zyara, Southern Afrin, Northern Aleppo.

On Tuesday-night Wednesday-morning, a number of the Kurdish People’s Protection Units’ members were killed in fightings with the FSA factions participating in the Olive Branch Operation at the village of Bsalhaya, Southeast Afrin, where also the FSA fighter was killed.

About 300 families, most of them Arabs, entered the city of Azaz in Northern Aleppo, accompanied by Turkish Army and the FSA forces, where they were secured in neighborhoods of the city, out of about 400 families were waiting near the village of Qustal for displacement outside Afrin.

On Wednesday, ten raids from suspected Syrian government warplanes’ targeted the city of Kafr Batna and the towns of Haza and al-Jisreen, in less than three hours, killing and injuring civilians.

The local council in the city of Harasta called on the international community to intervene and rescue 20 thousand besieged civilians in Eastern Ghouta. It also added that the Syrian government siege of the city after its separation from the rest of the towns has cut off of all medical and relief supplies.

On Tuesday, the Syrian Red Crescent Society demanded guarantees that its crew would not be targeted for entering the first convoy of emergency humanitarian aid to the Syrian-Jordanian border camp, in cooperation with the Red Cross and the United Nations.
