Red Crescent: “Humanitarian aid will enter Eastern Ghouta tomorrow”

The Syrian Arab Red Crescent proclaimed that they will enter humanitarian aid to Eastern Ghouta, tomorrow.

The SARC Foreign Affairs Advisor, Ziad Masallati, said that 25 trucks carrying humanitarian and medical aid will enter Douma (14 kilometers east of Damascus) tomorrow, according to Reuters.

The secretariat of Damascus established an executive office to administer financial and human resources to satisfy the needs of the besieged people in Eastern Ghouta.

The director of Public Relations and Media of the Executive Office, Suleiman al-Dahla, reported in a statement that the office was established to provide central administration for all the civilian sectors in Ghouta such as “humanitarian, medical and service organizations, in addition to the Civil Defense,” to satisfy the needs of the residents to face the siege by the government forces and their allies.

A group of the mothers and wives of the men subjected to the enforced disappearance organized a stand in solidarity with the residents of Eastern Ghouta in al-Atareb, Northern Syria (30 kilometers west of Aleppo). The stand coincided with the seventh anniversary of the Syrian revolution.

The mother of a disappeared person introduced herself as Umm Hamza, and said that they organized the protest to express solidarity with the residents of Eastern Ghouta; especially mothers of those detained or forcibly disappeared.

The Daraa Governorate council, Southern Syria, established an emergency office in preparation for any military attack by government forces and supporting militias on the governorate.

The Minister of the Local Administration of the Interim Government, Muhammad al-Muzeeb, said in a statement that the governorate council held a meeting in Tafas (13 kilometers north of Daraa) to establish an emergency room, in case that government forces attacked the areas under the Free Syrian Army’s (FSA) control.

An explosive device killed three FSA fighters and injured three others in Kafr Nasej, Northern Daraa, Southern Syria.

Local activists said that an explosive device exploded in a vehicle carrying fighters of the al-Furqan brigades on the road between the town of Kafr Nasej and the village of al-Mal. The explosion killed three fighters and injured three others. The fighters were transferred to a nearby hospital, where one fighter had a leg amputated.

Artillery and aerial bombing killed and injured eight civilians, including a woman, in a city and two villages in Idlib, Northern Syria.

The Civil Defense said on their media that Russian warplanes launched a raid on the village of Hafsarja (30 kilometers northwest of Idlib). The raid killed a civilian and injured four others, including a woman, and they were transferred to medical centers.

In Northern Syria, the FSA and Turkish forces gained control over a town and eight villages, along with their hills, in Afrin (43 kilometers northwest of Aleppo). They gained control over the areas after clashes with the Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG). This opens the road toward Darat Azza.

The FSA factions of the Olive Branch Operation announced gaining control over the town of Ghazzawiah and the villages of Kaziah, al-Nira, Shader and the surrounding hills near Jenderis (21 km south of Afrin). They also gained control over the village of al-Yabsa, Bulbol and the villages of Kafrshil, Halilo, Kafrdali and Folqan in Afrin.

The fourth class of the Martyr Birusk Military Academy graduated from the training camps in Aal-Shadadi, Northeastern Syria (60 kilometers south of Hassakeh).

A member of the Syrian Democratic Forces Media Office, who introduced himself as Damhat Rouj, said that the training included 60 members and it lasted for 45 days. He pointed out that they provided the trainees with intellectual and military trainings.
