Russian media outlets report agreement to evacuate Jaysh al-Islam from Douma city, and explosion kills members of international coalition in Manbij city, Aleppo

Local and Field Updates:

The Russian news agency of Interfax and Russia Today(RT) channel reported the head of the general directorate of the Russian Staff, saying,” On Friday, we reached an agreement with the leaders of illegal armed groups to evacuate gunmen and their families from the city of Douma soon.”

Yaser Dalwan, the manager of the political office of the Jaysh-al-Islam, told SMART that they would issue a formal statement to deny what Russian media outlets reported of reaching an agreement to evacuate the Jaysh al-Islam fighters from Douma.”

In Aleppo, the international coalition said in a statement that a bomb explosion killed two soldiers and injured five others in Syria. The statement added that the injured received first aid and were evacuated for further medical treatment. Activists reported that the bomb explosion occurred in the city of Manbij, Aleppo in Northern Syria.   

The Syrian Democratic Forces(SDF) sent new military reinforcements to Manbij city.

In Northern Syria, the first part of the fifth group of internally displaced persons(IDPs) from the middle sector of Eastern Ghouta arrived in shelters in the cities of Ariha, Maraat al-Nu’man, and Saraqib in Idlib, as well as Miznaz village west of Aleppo.The first part of the (IDPs) about 2,300 persons, including 40 injured civilians.

In Central Syria, the biggest of the Free Syrian Army(FSA) factions, and Islamist battalions, operating in Northern Homs and Southern Hama, merged in “Supreme Military Leadership” under the National Army of the Interim Syrian Government.

In Northeastern Syria, which is controlled by the Kurdish Autonomous Administration, suspected Russian bombings killed five of the Kurdish Women's’ Protection Units, including two women and injured four other members in a headquarters of the al-Asayish” near the city of Tal Abyad in Raqqa.

Political and International Updates:

The U.S. President, Donald Trump, stated that the United States would withdraw from Syria soon.The U.S. Foreign Department denied trump’s statements.  

In Paris, the French President, Emmanuel Macron, met a delegation of the SDF and praised what he called the “SDF sacrifices and decisive role against the Islamic State.
