Seventh group of displaced persons from Eastern Ghouta arrive in Hama, and the United States freeze Syrian reconstruction money

The first batch from the seventh group of displaced persons from Eastern Ghouta's central sector, arrived at the passage to al-Madiq citadel city, 42 kilometers west of Hama, Central Syria.

A local source from the Eastern Manbij countryside said that four helicopters landed in the villages of al-Masaken and Kherbet Khaled near the Tishrin dam, east of the Kurdish Rojava-controlled city of Manbij, Eastern Aleppo countryside. The helicopters landed around 70 fighters in the area.

The Kurdish Rojava's Asayish forces detained more than 14 people they had earlier freed, accusing them of belonging to ISIS in the city of al-Tabqah, Western ar-Raqqah, Northeastern Syria.

Today, the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) raided the al-Rahmah camp near the village of Kafr Lucin, Northern Idlib, detaining three displaced persons of al-Madiq citadel city in Hama, accusing them of belonging to the Syrian Liberation Front. The HTS searched the camp for other suspects.

In Daraa, Southern Syria, the head of the Free Syrian Army's (FSA) 18th of March Troops media team, stated that the troops had clashed with loyalist forces in several districts of Daraa city. In the city's al-Mahattah district, loyalist forces used mortar shells and anti-aircraft weapons, whilst the FSA used snipers.

Political and international news:

The US froze more than $200 million of the money assigned to the Syrian reconstruction process, according to the Wall Street Journal. The American officials warned that ISIS might reappear in the area now that battling against it has ended.

The Saudi Crown Prince, Mohammed Bin Salman, expressed his country's wishes to have the U.S military maintian a presence in Syria, thereby preventing Iran from continuing its expansion in the area. The Crown Prince pointed out that it seems unlikely that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad will be toppled. However, he has expressed his hopes that Assad will not serve Iran’s interests.
