Loyalist bombing on market in Idlib kills civilians, and loyalist forces escalate military operations against opposition factions in Eastern Al-Qalamun

On Tuesday night, suspected loyalist warplanes bombed Al Hal public market in the city of Kafr Nubl, Idlib, Northern Syria, killing a civilian and injuring three others. The bombing also put the market on fire, as the firefighting teams managed to put away the fire early next morning.    

The Syrian liberation front regained control of the village of Tarmala, Southern Idlib, about an hour after the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) seized it amidst clashes between both parties in Southern Idlib.  

Earlier, the Syrian Liberation Front announced detaining six fighters of the Turkistan Islamic Party in Syria which support the HTS in battles in the village of Al Sadiah, Aleppo.   

Civilians protested in the village of Kafr Sejna, Idlib, to denounce the infighting between the HTS and the Syrian Liberation Front. The protesters also burned tires and blocked the roads condemning  HTS that stormed the village and detained two young men, accusing them of working with the Syrian Liberation Front.  

In Rif Dimashq, the loyalist forces escalated the military operations against the factions operating in the Eastern al-Qalamun mountains, as the loyalist warplanes raided for more than 25 times and dropped about 45 explosive barrels, amidst negotiations to decide the fate of the area.

In Central Syria, the Free Syrian Army and the Islamist factions launched a battle against the loyalist forces in the village of Qubat al-Kurdi in Al-Salamiyah, Eastern Hama.

In Homs, the tribal council and the civil administration of the al Rakban displacement camp, near the Syria-Jordanian borders, announced the termination of the Free Police service after they attacked the Court and attempted to block its work.     

International and political news:

France’s foreign ministry has said it is “very likely” that proof has disappeared from the location of a suspected chemical attack in Douma city, calling on Russia and the Syrian government to give the international inspectors full access to the site.
