Government bombing kills and injures civilians in Southern Idlib and OPCW takes samples from Douma

In Northern Syria, government artillery and aerial bombing killed civilian and injured other in a town and city in Idlib.

Activists reported that the government forces shelled heavy artillery on the town on al Habit, from their bases in Northern Hama and killed a civilian.Suspected government warplanes bombed Kafranbel. The bombing injured ten civilians and destroyed four houses. The wounded were transferred to nearby medical centers.

The residents of Maarat al-Nu'man refused any agreement that allows Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham to enter the city in Southern Idlib, Northern Syria.

The bread price decreased in three bakeries in Jisr al Shughur, 30 kilometers west of Idlib, Northern Syria.The bakeries serve 50,000 people.The rates dropped after the humanitarian organizations returned to support the bakeries, in addition to the decrease in the fuel price to less than half.

In Aleppo, hundreds of people protested against kidnapping two women and the absence of security in Azaz, Northern Aleppo, Northern Syria.

In Central Syria, Russian and government forces launched raids and missiles on the Northern Suburbs of Hama and killed a civilian.

In Sahl al Ghab, Hama, Central Syria, the fishermen face obstacles when fishing from the al Assi river, due to the lack of fish and the decrease in the fishing space.

International and political news:

The Organization for the Prohibition of the Chemical Weapons took samples from Douma (14 kilometers east of Damascus) to investigate the chemical massacre.

The U.N. Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres, said that 700,000 person were internally displaced in Syria since the beginning of 2018 and that it was not the first time to be replaced for most of them.

The Russian Chief of Staff proclaimed that they would deliver new air defense systems to the Syrian government, without specifying their kinds.

Abd al Rahman Mustafa, the President of the Syrian National Coalition of the Opposition and Revolutionary Forces, said that holding the war criminals accountable will pave the way for a political transition, according to Geneva Statement 1, and the U.N. resolution 2254.

Syria ranked fourth in the countries that suppress the freedom of the press, according to the 2018 World Press Freedom Index of Reporters without Borders organization.
