Displaced people from Southern Damascus are attacked in Homs, and Iraqi warplanes bomb Syrian village in al-Hasakah

Local and field news:

On Sunday, while passing through the city of Homs, the third group of internally displaced persons (IDPs) from the towns of Yalda, Babila, and Beit Sahm in Southern Damascus were attacked by people loyal to the Syrian government.

The third group of IDPs from Southern Damascus were headed to Northern Syria.

Local activists reported that the loyalist forces and the Russian military police searched more than 90 buses before exiting the Beit Sahm crossing and gathering on the road of Damascus International Airport.

A group of loyalist forces attempted to loot civilians' houses in the town of Babila (7 kilometers south of Damascus).

Local activists reported that fighters from the Sham al-Rassoul Legion, Jaysh al-Islam, and Ahrar al-Sham Islamic Movement detained ten members of the loyalist forces in the Zero point street near the Sidi Moqdad district.  

The Russian and loyalist forces shelled the Yarmouk refugee camp in Southern Damascus, using artillery shells and missiles, killing and injuring civilians, including children.

Local activists posted on their social media accounts that the loyalist forces and Russia targeted a basement in a building where about 25 civilians, including children, were hiding. The shelling killed and injured civilians. The exact number of victims is unknown, as bodies still remain under the rubble.  

Iraqi warplanes bombed the village of al-Dushaisha of the Markada area, 80 kilometers south of al-Hasakah, Northeastern Syria.

The Iraqi prime minister’s office posted on Twitter that the bombing targeted a base of Islamic State commanders.

Two fighters of the Syrian Democratic Forces were killed by shots targeting a checkpoint in the village of al-Salhabiah, 20 kilometers west of al-Raqqah, Northeastern Syria.

The Kurdish People's Protection Units killed a man while attempting to detain him in the Mazraat al-Rashid (28 kilometers northwest of al-Raqqah).

An explosive device injured four fighters of the opposition group Hayat Tahrir al-Sham near the city of Saraqib, 14 kilometers east of Idlib, Northern Syria.

Several battalions in the Third Legion of the Syrian National Army withdrew from service in the city of Aleppo, Northern Syria, awaiting approval of their transfer within the Legion.

A loyalist sniper shot and killed a child in the village of Houayez, Northwestern Hama, Central Syria.

On Saturday, a car accident on the road from al-Salamiyah to Athriah in Eastern Hama, Central Syria, killed 31 members of the loyalist forces.

Loyalist media channels reported that a fuel tank slid and hit a military vehicle, killing 27 members of the Maghawir Idlib militia of the loyalist forces. The militia was returning from the city of al-Mayadin in eastern Deir ez-Zor, Northeastern Syria.

International and political news:

The Syrian Network for Human Right documented 687 cases of arbitrary arrest in Syria during the month of April. The loyalist forces is responsible of 476 of the cases in the areas under their control.

Boris Johnson, the British Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, has started his visit to the United States to discuss the situation in Syria, Iran and North Korea.

The Secretary's office announced that the visit will last two days, and Johnson will meet with Mike Pence, the Vice President of the United States, and John R. Bolton, the National Security Advisor of the United States, in addition to other foreign affairs officials in the Congress.
