Displacement from Homs and Hama continues, and Turkey nearly completes establishing control points in Idlib

The displacement from Northern Homs and Southern Hama, Central Syria, continues. Thousands of civilians, along with 1,500 fighters from the opposition group Hayat Tahrir al-Sham and their families, arrived in Idlib. The second section of the fourth group of the internally displaced persons (IDPs) from al-Rastan entered the city of Qalat al-Madiq, after they were delayed for more than 24 hours.

Thirty buses entered the village of al-Sam’alil, Homs. The buses will evacuate 1,100 IDPs from the village of Akrab, Southern Hama, and others from Northern Homs to Northern Syria.

The IDPs from Southern Damascus who recently arrived in al-Bab, Aleppo, complained about the lack of aid after entering from the Abu al-Zinden crossing. The IDPs also complained about the absence of humanitarian relief organizations in the areas in which they arrived.

Intense clashes are taking place between the Islamic State and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in the village of al-Baghoz east of Bokamal near the Iraqi-Syrian border. The clashes coincide with SDF attempts to gain control of the village.

In the Kurdish Autonomous Administration-controlled areas, two groups had a dispute at a wedding ceremony. The dispute turned into a fight, which killed two people and injured others. The al-Asayesh Kurdish security forces interfered and arrested the people fighting.

New explosions took place in Idlib, Northern Syria. Two explosive devices killed a Free Syrian Army fighter and injured two others in the city of Maarrat Masrin and on the main road between Saraqib and Idlib.

In Daraa, injured fighters of the FSA protested in front of the local council of Nawa. The fighters protested against corruption and demanded their rights.

The latest rainstorm in Syria displaced hundreds of families and destroyed dozens of houses in the city of Ain al-Arab (Kobani), Aleppo. The damage caused by the heavy rain and floods is estimated at millions of Syrian pounds.

International and political news:

The Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that his country will finish establishing the last two control points in Idlib, Northern Syria, under the de-escalation agreement, within the next week.

The Syrian Islamic Council issued a call to “reform the revolutionary affairs.” The council called upon the revolutionary bodies to support the call and to unify themselves according to it.
