Syrian government and Islamic State deny reaching agreement in Southern Damascus, and Saraya al-Jihad adopts Hama's airport explosion

On Saturday, Syrian government forces and the Islamic State (ISIS) denied reaching an agreement that compels exiting the latter from both the al-Yarmouk refugee camp and al-Hajar al-Aswad town, Southern Damascus.

The official Russia Today (RT) channel reported from field sources that clashes between ISIS and the loyalist forces would stop from 12:00 pm until 5:00 am the next day. RT reported that ISIS is ready to withdraw 1,700 fighters along with their families. The channels added that the loyalist forces and ISIS did not reach an official agreement, as they had not yet determined the destination of the exiting fighters.

Suspected Russian aerial bombing on the al-Yarmouk refugee camp killed three civilians.

In Central Syria, the Saraya al-Jihad of the Levant adopted the explosion of Hama's military airport.

The Saraya al-Jihad stated that a group of their fighters infiltrated the airport, isolated the munition warehouses and kerosene tanks, and blew them up. The explosion killed 50 fighters from the loyalist forces and their allied militias, and destroyed several rocket launchers, supervising towers, a building for officers and fighters, and a warplane maintenance center.

On Saturday, the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) executed four people in the city of Idlib, Northern Syria.

Local activists reported that the security forces of the HTS executed the people in al-Saa'a square, Central Idlib, as several citizens attended the execution. The HTS accused those executed, as being responsible of assassinating and planting explosive devices, especially for the last explosion that took place in al-Saa'a square, which killed and injured 34 civilians. The HTS also accused them of coordinating with the loyalist forces.

In Aleppo, members of the Syrian Media Union met with the security service, and the local council of the city of Azaz, 44 kilometers north of Aleppo, Northern Syria.

A private source reported that the meeting discussed ways to facilitate and protect the work of media officers and activists in Free Syria Army-controlled areas. The head of the local council promised to solve all the problems between the Syrian Media Union and the security service.

High temperatures and hot weather have caused dozens of sunstroke cases among internally displaced persons in camps of the al-Raqqah governorate, Northeastern Syria.

The Kurdish People's Protection Units found weapons and explosives in a makeshift camp near the village of al-Adnaniah (13 kilometers west of al Raqqah).

A loyalist forces bombing on the Sousah area, 120 kilometers southeast of Deir ez-Zor, Eastern Syria, killed and injured eight civilians.

One of the founders of the National Defense loyalist militia were killed in the town of al-Boulel, about 20 kilometers east of Deir ez-Zor, Eastern Syria.   

International and political news:

The United States plans to withdraw assistance from Northwestern Syria, which is controlled by the Free Syrian Army faction and other Islamic factions.

On Saturday, U.S. officials told Reuters that humanitarian assistance would not be affected in the northwest around the Idlib province. The CBS, said that tens of millions of dollars will be cut from previous U.S.-backed efforts in the northwest, including projects for “countering violent extremism, supporting independent society and independent media, strengthening education, and advocating for community policing.”
