Syrian government gains control over Southern Damascus, and local council of al-Lataminah city, Hama calls Turkey to establish new monitoring outposts

Local and Field Updates:

On Monday, the Syrian government forces gained entire control over al-Yarmouk camp and al-Hajar al-Aswad neighborhood following an agreement with the Islamic State(ISIS) in order for( ISIS) to evacuate the area.

On Monday, the second( last) group of ISIS fighters and their families arrived in the Badiya coming from al-Yarmouk camp, al-Tadamon neighborhoods, and al-Hajar al-Aswad in Southern Damascus.

The Rif Dimashq Governorate Council called upon the “revolutionary leadership” in Eastern Ghouta to pay back more than 250,000 USD. The council said that the revolutionary leadership delayed paying the money back to the council.

On Monday, a government rocket shelling injured a man and his wife in the town of Aib in the al-Lajat area, Daraa in Southern Syria.  

Opposition military factions in the town of Mahaja, Daraa submitted a term to accept forming a delegation to negotiate with the government about the fate of the town.

Producing barley in 2018 decreased compared to 2017 in the Daraa governorate in Southern Syria due to weather conditions that affected the governorate in recent months.

In Central Syria, the local council of the city of al-Lataminah, 24 kilometers north of Hama, called upon al-Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) to facilitate establish Turkish monitoring outposts in the city.

On Monday, the Shabiha militias of the government forces confiscated vehicles to use them to loot houses north of Homs in Central Syria.

A private source reported that the Shabiha looted houses in the al-Houla area, 28 kilometers west of Homs after displacing residents.

The government forces opened up enlistment in the military service after thousands, who refused to leave Northern Homs came to a settlement with the government.

11,000 internally displaced families suffer from a severe lack of medical services at camps, west of Idlib. The medical service is limited to general check.

Internally displaced persons(IDPs) at camps in Harem and Salqin, north of Idlib in Northern Syria complained about the lack of food aid for ten months and poor services in Ramadan as summer approaches.

On Monday, government forces stationed in the al-Bina checkpoint killed a civilian while he was attempting to return to the Afrin area, 44 kilometers northwest of Aleppo in Northern Syria, along with civilians from the area.

The Syrian Democratic Forces arrested dozens of youths in the Manbij area,83 kilometers, east of Aleppo in Northern Syria to recruit them in the compulsory conscription.

On Monday, the Kurdish People’s Protection Units arrested an internally displaced family from Deir ez-Zor in Eastern Syria, in the village of al-Raqqa al-Samra,20 kilometers, east of Raqqa in Northeastern Syria.

Political and International Updates:

On  Monday,  Mark Pumbio the American Secretary of State called upon Iran to withdraw its militias from Syria and vowed to impose new sanctions on Tehran.
