Al-Thawra Army discharges one of its legions for planning to reconcile with Syrian government in Daraa; Hayat Tahrir al-Sham intends to buy Northern Syria's wheat

The al-Thawra Army of the Free Syrian Army (FSA) discharged the Burkan Horan legion, accusing it of planning to reconcile with the Syrian government in the town of Kafr Shams, 56 kilometers north of Daraa, Southern Syria.

Groups of fighters from the Khalid Ibn al-Walid Army attempted to infiltrate the FSA-controlled areas in the Daraa governorate, Southern Syria.

Abu Salamah, a military commander from the al-Ahrar group of the FSA, reported that about 40 fighters from the Khalid Ibn al-Walid Army, which is accused of allegiance with the Islamic State, attempted to infiltrate the perimeter of the FSA-controlled al-Jibailiah town.    

In Northern Syria, the Salvation Government of the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) operating in the Idlib governorate said that it intends to export wheat grain to import flour in exchange.

The President of the Salvation Government's grain corporation, who introduced himself as Abu Salah, said that the corporation wishes export large quantities of first degree "hard" wheat, which is more profitable as a grain than flour.

Abu Salah added that the Salvation Government's grain corporation intends to buy the whole wheat yield of Northern Syria, which is estimated at about 210,000 tons this year. The corporation needs to negotiate a deal with other agricultural bodies, because it can buy only 10 percent of the whole yield, according to Abu Salah.

The Salvation Government's Ministry of Justice, which operates in the HTS-controlled areas in Northern Syria, issued a general pardon for all convicted felons, detainees and public prosecution convicts.

In a statement obtained by SMART, the ministry said that sentences will be reduced to a quarter of the time if they were under six months, to a third if they were exactly six months and by half if they were more than a year.

In Aleppo, an explosion from an unknown source killed and injured several members of the loyalist forces in the al-Jarrah military airbase near the village of al-Khafsah, 100 kilometers east of Aleppo, Northern Syria.

Local activists and loyalist media said that an explosion went off in a loyalist forces' munition warehouse inside the airbase, killing three loyalist members and injuring others. The perpetrators behind the explosion remain unknown.

Also in Aleppo, the census office of the al-Bab city's local council, Eastern Aleppo, Northern Syria, announced that it will launch a project to count all private and public properties in the areas under FSA control in the Aleppo governorate.

In Central Syria, the Syrian government forces demanded the people of the cities and towns of Northern Homs, which the forces seized recently, to hand over their unregistered personal weapons.

A local source, who preferred to stay anonymous for security reasons, reported that hundreds of people from the city of Tallbisah and the al-Holah area handed over their weapons to the Syrian government forces. The source added that several young men from the area voluntarily join the loyalist forces' militias and security forces.

In Northeastern Syria, an armed group belonging to the Kurdish Democratic Union Party (PYD) kidnapped the Head of Foreign Affairs of the Kurdish Future Movement, Abdul Hamid Tammo, in the city of al-Darbasiyah, 64 kilometers north of al-Hasakah.

In a statement obtained by SMART, the media office of the Kurdish Future Movement of Syria said that an armed PYD group kidnapped Tammo on Sunday evening while he was on his way from the city of al-Darbasiyah to his home in the village of al-Janaziyah.

In ar-Raqqa, Northeastern Syria, civilians from the village of Hozaimah prevented members of the Kurdish Autonomous Administration's military police from entering the village.

Local sources reported that about 100 people from Hozaimah gathered near the southern entrance of the village to block the military police forces, who sought to recruit young men from the village.

In Deir ez-Zor, a source reported that the Syrian Democratic Forces, backed by International Coalition, intend to launch a new military operation against the locations of the Islamic State in Eastern Syria.

The Head of the media office of the Deir ez-Zor military council, Basem Aziz, reported that on Saturday, military reinforcements arrived in the town of al-Shaddadah to participate in the operation against ISIS, which will be launched in the nearby village of al-Dashishah. According to the source, an operation room from the International Coalition will lead the operation.
