Massacre in North Idlib by aerial bombardment is likely to be Russian and the landing of American experts in the city of al-Raqqa

Field developments

Dozens of civilians were killed and wounded on Friday in an air strike by suspected Russian warplanes on the town of Zardana, 16 kilometers north of Idlib, north of Syria, amid an ongoing search for victims under rubble.

According to the civil defense in Idlib, warplanes that are likely to be Russian launched raids on civilian homes in Zardana, killing more than 45 civilians, including eight women and eight children and members of the civil defense, in addition to injuring more than 80 others.

The Civil Defense said that the number of dead and wounded in the massacre is still preliminary because of the continuing search for victims under the rubble and given the seriousness of some injuries, while activists said that the raids resulted in the killing of at least one civil defense and wounding about four others.

The loyalist forces intensified overnight raids on towns and villages north of Hama, central Syria, for the second day in a row.

Local activists told "Smart," that the loyalist forces stationed in the cities of Mahardah, Halfaya and the village of al-jbin shelled the town of Kafr Zeita and the villages of al-Zakat, al-Arbaen, Hasaraya, Tal al-Sakher and al-Jisat. No injuries were reported, activist
pointed out that the shelling led to fires in agricultural lands in the town of Kafr Zita and al-Zaka village.

Activists said that the "Jayish al-Fakher" responded by targeting the positions of the loyalist forces in the city of Halfaya and the village of Safsafiya by three artillery shells.

On Thursday, A military source from the "Syrian Democratic Forces" (SDF)  said that a US helicopter landed in the city of al-Raqqa and dropped military experts there.

The source, who preferred not to be named, said in a statement to "Smart" that a US Apache "landed in the 17th Division and dropped the military experts, without mentioning their numbers of tasks.

On Thursday The Free Syrian Army (FSA)  reviewed its forces in the southern city of Deraa, to send a warning message to the Syrian regime and its loyalist militias.

The military parade was attended by dozens of fighters and vehicles as well as heavy weapons such as rockets.

 Adham Krad, head of the engineering and missile engineering team."The message to the regime is that we can expel all foreign militias from Syrian territory and to emphasize the objectives of the Syrian revolution by overthrowing the regime and achieving freedom as a 'comprehensive homeland for all."

On Thursday, the school principals in al-Bab city (38 kilometers east of Aleppo city) in northern Syria,  delivered class reports forms to the students who, studied in the areas of "Euphrates Shield", under the supervision of the educational office in the local council of the city and in cooperation with the Turkish government.

The camp includes four sections. One of the sections contains 30 widowers, mostly from Eastern and Western Aleppo. The women do not have any income; they depend on the aid provided by the camp residents or charities. 
Um Khalid said she arrived at the camp about a year ago with her seven children after aerial bombardment of warplanes killed her husband. She said she depended on selling some of the textiles he sewed to secure her family's expenses.

Political developments

On Thursday Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned the Syrian President Bashar al-Assad of an Israeli response if he fired back at them.

"Al-Assad is no longer safe" if Iran is allowed to attack Israel from Syrian territory, Netanyahu said during a conference at the Institute for Political Exchange in London.

Netanyahu stressed that Israel would not allow the concentration of Iranian forces in Syria, adding, "The consequences will not be limited to the Iranian forces, but also the al-Assad regime," calling on him to take "seriously" in mind.

On Thursday the "Salvation Government " operating in the areas controlled by the Hayat Tahrir Al-Sham(HTS) in northern Syria, released some prisoners under an amnesty issued a few days ago.

According to the media office of HTS, the salvation government released some prisoners covered by the amnesty, without mentioning the numbers, adding that their release was attended by the head of the government Mohammed Sheikh and the Minister of Justice, Ibrahim Shasho.

 On Sunday the Ministry of Justice of the "Salvation Government," the issued a decision includes a general amnesty for prisoners detained in the occasion of the month of Ramadan, and the approach of "Eid al-Fitr."
