On Sunday, the Syrian government forces shelled residential neighborhoods and agricultural lands in the Northern Hama countryside, injuring a civilian.

Residents reported that the Syrian government forces stationed in the Braidij base shelled the city of Kafr Zita, injuring a civilian from the city of al-Lattamina.

Syrian government rocket shelling killed a Free Syrian Army (FSA) fighter and injured two others near the al-Tukuman mountainous area, north of Latakia.

Activists reported that the Syrian government forces launched a guided-Kornet missile against a vehicle of the Free Idlib Army, killing the fighter and injuring two others with moderate injuries. The Civil Defense transported the injured to a nearby medical clinic.

Relative calm in the city of Nawa, 30 kilometers north of Daraa, Southern Syria, provided a space for children to enjoy the Eid al-Fitr Islamic vacation.

Hajem al-Ruwaili, an internally displaced person in the city of Nawa, said that people are enjoying the Eid al-Fitr celebrations in the city due to the security and stability achieved by the FSA, which protects the area despite the Syrian government forces and supporting militias’ threats to storm Southern Syria.

International and political updates:

On Sunday, the opposition’s High Negotiations Committee of the Riyadh 2 Conference said that they will meet on June 23, 2018, to discuss the formation of a constitutional committee-

Hadi al-Bahra, a member of the Negotiations Committee, stated that they will discuss the criteria to nominate nominees for the constitutional committee. Al-Bahra noted that they will decide whether they will depend on law experts from outside the committee.

The United States stated that as a permanent state member in the United Nations Security Council, Russia is officially responsible for stopping the Syrian government forces’ attacks in Southwestern Syria.

Heather Nauert, the spokesperson for the U.S. Secretary of State, wrote on Twitter that the recent Syrian government military actions in de-escalation agreement areas “threaten to expand the conflict.” Nauert confirmed that Washington will take suitable and firm measures in response to the violations committed by the Syrian government forces in the area.  

The Lebanese Embassy in Iran canceled the sealing of the passports of Iranian nationals in the Rafik al-Hariri airport in Beirut.

On Saturday, the Iranian Isna news agency reported a source in the embassy saying that the step aims at facilitating flights between the two countries and increasing Iranians’ comfort.
