Unknown bombing kills dozens of loyalist forces and members of Iranian, Iraqi and Afghani militias in Eastern Syria

An airstrike hit a base of the loyalist forces and their allied militias from Iraq, Iran and Afghanistan in the village of al-Harri near the city of Abu Kamal, 120 kilometers east of Deir ez-Zor, Eastern Syria. The bombing killed dozens of loyalist forces and members of the militias.    

On Monday, loyalist activists posted on their social media accounts that an airstrike targeted the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces, Iranian fighters, and the Afghani militia Liwa Fatemiyoun. The bombing killed and injured several members of the militias.    

The French Press Agency (AFP) reported that the bombing killed 38 fighters. The Al Mayadeen T.V. channel, which is loyal to Iran, said that the bombing killed 20 fighters from what the channel called "the resistance factions" on the Syrian-Iraqi border.

The United States Department of Defense denied any involvement by the U.S. air forces or the International Coalition on loyalist military bases in the Abu Kamal area in Eastern Syria.     

A rocket hit the in the city of al-Raqqa, Northeastern Syria, killing and injuring several civilians and fighters from the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).

A military source from the SDF reported that unknown persons launched an RPG rocket on a military vehicle of the SDF that was parked in the al-Khahrabaa Street. The rocket killed a civilian and three SDF fighters and injured two civilians and three SDF fighters, who were transported to the Dar al-Shifa'a hospital.

The Jaysh al-Ahrar opposition faction, which operates in the Idlib governorate, Northern Syria, announced the killing of its General Commander, Khalil Ismail Irsan, and his son, after being shot by unknown persons.

The Jaysh al-Ahrar stated that Khalil Irsan, known as Abu Ismail Jobas, was killed with his eldest son, Ismail, as unknown persons shot them while they exited a mosque after the prayers at dawn.

A clash between two families killed one civilian and injured several others in the Sahl al-Roj area, Southwestern Idlib, Northern Syria.

Activists reported that the two families clashed using heavy weapons after a disagreement in the village of Sejar. The clashes killed one civilian and injured four others. The reason behind the clashes remain unknown.

A loyalist bombing hit farmlands near the village of Zamar of Mount Simeon, Southern Aleppo, Northern Syria, injuring two civilians.

Local activists reported that the bombing injured a man and a woman while they were harvesting anise. Loyalist artillery shelling on a farmland damaged a combined harvester.

The Free Police in the town of al-Raee, 54 kilometers north of Aleppo, Northern Syria, arrested men from a group of outlaws who attacked and robbed civilians.

The Free Police stated via its channels that the police fought the outlaws on the road between al-Raee and Jarabulus for 30 minutes before arresting two of them. The remaining outlaws escaped.

Children in the city of Azaz, Aleppo, Northern Syria, were prevented from celebrating the Muslim holiday Eid al-Fitr due to the lack of financial resources, forcing them to work instead of celebrating Eid like other children in the area.

The Eid al-Fitr holiday was not different from any other day for Khuloud and her three siblings. The children wake up at six o'clock every morning to start work as usual. Khuloud and her siblings collect plastic bags, which they sell to recycling centers to help their ill father.

International and political news:

Jordan stressed the importance of the de-escalation agreement in Southern Syria. The agreement was supervised by Russia, American, and Jordanian.

The Jordanian news agency Petra reported that the Jordanian Minister of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs, Ayman Safadi, said that the de-escalation agreement is considered the most successful agreement of ceasefire agreements, pointing out that Jordan communicates with Moscow and Washington to protect Jordan and achieve a comprehensive cessation of hostilities in Syria to reach a political solution to the crisis.
