Field and local developments:

On Monday, the opposition's Central Operation Room of Southern Syria said that the loyalist forces advanced into two villages in Eastern Daraa, Southern Syria. The two villages are located in the administrative territory of the nearby as-Suwayda governorate, while the battles continued in the village of Jadel.

Clashes between loyalist forces and the Free Syrian Army (FSA) east of Daraa killed and wounded members on both sides near the town of Basr al-Harir and the village of Eib. The FSA received military reinforcements from the Quneitra governorate, and factions in the city of Inkhel formed a joint operations room.

Activists documented that the loyalist forces and Russia performed 93 airstrikes and dropped 66 explosive barrels from helicopters on the villages and towns of the Daraa governorate, Southern Syria, in addition to shelling the governorate with dozens of artillery and missile shells in 24 hours.

Syrian government media reported that Israel targeted the Damascus international airport with two missiles. The airport is located about 25 kilometers southeast of Damascus, Southern Syria.

The Kurdish People's Protection Units arrested 16 young people from the villages of al-Adnanya, al-Rafqa and Ansar in al-Raqqa on charges of "forming groups loyal to the Syrian government." Most of the youths are from the Halisat tribe. The arrest followed the lifting of the al-Raqqa civil council’s curfew in the governorate of al-Raqqa with the exception of one main road.

Local activists reported that loyalist forces stationed in the surrounding cities and towns of Halfaya, al-Masasneh, Zalin and Zalaqiat, shelled the town of Lataminah using 40 artillery shells, tanks and mortars.

Security sources told SMART that the loyalist forces arrested more than eight young men at checkpoints as the men were travelling from the northern countryside of Homs to the center of the city of Homs. The reason behind the men’s arrest was, according to the source, the expiry of their “resettlement papers."
