Israeli Army brings down Syrian government forces’ warplane over Golan Heights, killing a pilot

On Tuesday, Israeli Army brought down a Syrian government forces’  Su- warplane that violated Israeli airspace by a distance of 2 kilometers over the occupied Golan Heights. The Israeli Army launched two Patriot missiles against the plane that fell in Syrian territories.

Russian Sputnik news agency reported a Syrian government forces’ military source confirming the killing of Captain pilot Omran Mur’i; however, the other pilot’s fate is still unknown.

Clashes erupted between the Syrian government forces and the Khalid Ibn al-Walid Army affiliated to the Islamic State (IS) as the Syrian government forces attempted to advance towards the town of Jilin in Daraa. IS’ media outlets reported that IS’ fighters killed 24 members and injured others of the Syrian government forces and destroyed four tanks and a Shilka.

The spokesperson for the Al-Thawra Army in Daraa, Southern Syria said that the Syrian government refuse to reconcile with the Civil Defense volunteers and insists on judging them.

Syrian Red Crescent entered food aid to the city of Nawa in Daraa. The assistance included 7,500 rations. The funding came following a reconciliation between the Syrian government forces and opposition military factions in Nawa.  

The Hayat Tahrir al-Sham said that their fighters killed a deputy IS’ security official and captured two IS fighters in clashes in the al-Baraa al-Shishani IS’ headquarters near the city of Jisr ash-Shughur, west of Idlib, Northern Syria.

On Tuesday, Military Police of the Syrian National Army detonated two car bombs near the cities of Jarabulus and Azaz in the Aleppo governorate, Northern Syria. Eight prisoners accused of criminal charges escaped from prison at the Free Police Headquarters in the Afrin area. The Free Police called upon security checkpoints circulate the prisoners’ names and photos.

Turkish Border Guards opened fire at the Aleppo 1 camp near the village of al-Durriya in Idlib that is adjacent to the Turkish border. The Turkish Border Guards opened fire to prevent Syrians from crossing to Turkey illegally.

The Syrian government threatened to impose financial fees against the families of prisoners, who were tortured to death in Syrian government’s prisons in case the families delayed registering the ends of their sons at the civil registry to obtain a death certificate.

In Deir Ez-Zor, Eastern Syria, a source reported that the IS’ security services arrested an IS’ commander, who called himself Abu al-Nur al-Maqdisi along with seven IS fighters near the town of al-Shou’fa in Deir Ez-Zor. IS accused al-Maqdisi and his fighters of approaching extremism (Kharijites) and saying that IS’ commander Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi is a takfirist.

A massive fire broke out in the al-Zaatari camp for Syrian refugees in Jordan. The fire destroyed six trade shops without injuries reported. Firefighters attempted to extinguish the fire amidst. Initial estimates indicated a loss of 400,000 Jordanian Dinar.

The United Nations UNICEF fired 900 Syrian teachers from schools of al-Zaatari due to the lack of support; however, people considered such a step aims to pressure Syrian refugees to return to Syria.
