In Southern Syria, dozens of families fled from Northwestern al-Suwayda from fear of possible attacks by the Islamic State (IS).

In Central Syria, a Syrian government artillery bombing killed a child and injured a woman and child in the town of al-Latamina (24 kilometers north of Hama).

In Northeastern Syria, The al-Asayish forces, affiliated with the Kurdish Autonomous Administration seized eight shops in al-Raqqa, based on the municipality’s decision. They accused the shops owners of belonging to the Islamic State.

International and political news:

The tenth Astana talks session ended with consensus to continue with the de-escalation agreement in Idlib.

The negotiation committee of the Riyadh 2 conference demanded the release of all Syrian detainees before starting any political solution in Syria.

Ahmad Toumi, the Head of the Negotiation Committee, stated that the delegation informed the UN that the Syrian government and supporting countries should release the detainees unconditionally, before establishing the political solution and returning the refugees.

The UN Special Envoy on Syria, Staffan De Mistura, plans to pursue talks about the Syrian Constitutional Committee with the Astana talks guarantors: Russia, Turkey and Iran.
