Salvation Government confiscates residential compound in Idlib;Syrian government forces launches arrest campaign in Daraa

On Thursday, the Ataa Humanitarian Relief Group said that the Salvation government operating in areas controlled by the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham in Idlib confiscated the Ataa second residential compound in the town of Atmeh. The Salvation government housed former fighters from the Daraa and Quneitra, Southern Syria in the compound.

On Thursday, artillery missiles fell on the city of Aleppo controlled by the Syrian government forces in Northern Syria, killing and injuring nine people. Local sources reported that the opposition military faction in Western Aleppo launched the missiles.

A spokesperson for the Syrian National Army stated that they decided to close prisons and courts as the factions of the Syrian National Army realized no need for such facilities, especially with the existence of military prisons and courts.

The first convoy of Syrian pilgrims left for Turkey through the al-Bab al-Hawa and Bab al-Salameh border crossings, Northern Syria before heading to Saudi Arabia to do the rites of pilgrimage.

The Syrian government forces intensified bombings on cities and villages, northwest of Hama, central Syria.  

Local activists reported that the Syrian government forces stationed in the city of Sawran shelled the cities of Mourek and al-Lataminah, north of Hama using dozens of missiles.

A broad spectrum of residents in the city of Hama, central Syria controlled by the Syrian government forces, complain about the prices of medicine increase by 85 percent.

On Thursday, local sources reported that the Syrian government imposed financial fees on families to register their children in civil registries in Northern Homs.

The Syrian government forces arrested dozens of youths from villages of the al-Lajat area, northeast of Daraa, Southern Syria.

Turkish Border Guards opened fire into Syrian territories in the perimeter of the city of Ras al-Ain in al-Hasakah, Northeastern Syria. The shooting injured a civilian, who was working in his agricultural land in the area.

Political and International updates:

On Thursday, Syrian government’ media outlets reported that the Syrian government forces’ aerial defense systems destroyed a hostile object in Western Damascus.

On Friday, Mevlut Cavic Oglu, Turkish foreign minister stated that he discussed with his American counterpart Mike Pompeo the standard steps that could be taken regarding the Idlib governorate and Manbij area in Aleppo, Northern Syria.  

The Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons said that the Syrian government’s announcement about its chemical arsenal was still incomplete and full of differences.
