Salvation Government fails to police Northern Syria; Syrian government bombing causes major financial losses in Northern Hama

In Northern Syria, the Salvation Government operating in the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS)-controlled areas in Idlib, Northern Syria, said that it failed to police the area because there are "hidden gangs" from the opposition factions and Syrian government forces.

The Salvation Government President, Muhammad al-Sheikh, threatened to resign if the Interior Ministry and the opposition factions fail to arrest the kidnappers of the Head of the Coastal Health Department within 24 hours.

The Salvation Government demanded the transfer of the internally displaced people living in the schools of Idlib to houses in the towns of Kafraya and al-Foah.

The National Liberation Front reinforced its bases neighboring the Syrian government-controlled areas in Northern and Western Syria in preparation for a possible attack by the Syrian government forces.

The local council of al-Atarib in Western Aleppo, Northern Syria, renovated an industrial school to house internally displaced families, whereas a part of it will become a regional office for the Free University of Aleppo.

In Southern Syria, members of the Syrian Social Nationalist Party executed an Islamic State (IS) member in al-Suwayda, after arresting him during an IS operation in Eastern al-Suwayda.

The Syrian government admitted killing Wafed Abu Turaba in prison in Damascus in mid-2016. The Syrian government arrested Abu Turaba for executing the head of the Men of Dignity troop, Wahid al-Ballous, in al-Suwayda.

In Central Syria, Syrian government artillery forces injured a civilian in the village of Maarkaba, Northern Hama. The Syrian government forces also shelled nearby villages and towns.

The Syrian government bombing on al-Lataminah, 24 kilometers north of Hama, Central Syria, resulted in financial losses estimated at 125 million US dollars (65 billion Syrian pounds). The losses included more than 3,000 fully destroyed houses.

In Northeastern Syria, an International Coalition delegation visited al-Raqqa with Kurdish People’s Protection Units members to discuss the security situation and reconstruction projects.

A Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) fighter sexually harassed a minor in al-Raqqa, Northeastern Syria.

A landmine remnant from the Islamic State injured three people in al-Raqqa.

The Syrian Network for Human Rights reported that in July 2018, Syrian government warplanes dropped at least 528 barrel bombs on different parts of Syria, mostly in Daraa, Southern Syria.
