Russian forces shell village west of Idlib; bomb explodes in Afrin; FSA adopts bombing in Damascus

On Sunday, Russian forces shelled the village of Baksria in Jisr al-Shughur, 30 kilometers west of Idlib, Northern Syria, killing and wounding a number of civilians.

An explosive device went off in the vehicle of a Free Syrian Army (FSA) commander in the city of Idlib, wounding him and five others and killing a woman.

A bomb exploded in a public transport bus in the city of Afrin, 43 kilometers north of Aleppo, Northern Syria, killing and wounding a number of people.

Several men from the town of Atil, 6 kilometers north of al-Suwayda, Southern Syria, announced forming a new military faction named Atil al-Karamah, which will join the Shaykh al-Karamah forces that defected from the Rijal al-Karamah movement.

The Kurdish Autonomous Administration presented a road map for Russia to start open negotiations with the Syrian government with the presence of the UN Special Envoy to Syria Geir Pedersen.

Kanaan Barakat, the joint chairman of the internal authority in the Autonomous Administration in al-Hasakah, told SMART that the road map should ensure the unity of the Syrian territory, a democratic republican government, and the Autonomous Administration as part of the government with representatives in the parliament in Damascus. The Autonomous Administration also wishes to raise its flag along with the flags of the Syrian government.

On Saturday, the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham and the Ahrar al-Sham reached an agreement to resume the Ahrar al-Sham’s activities in the  al-Ghab Plain in western Hama, Central Syria.

An anonymous Ahrar al-Sham commander told SMART that the agreement provides for the continuation of the Ahrar al-Sham’s activities against the Syrian government forces in the al-Ghab Plain, keeping the area administratively controlled by the Salvation Government operating in areas controlled by the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham.

The local council of the city of Kafr Zayta in northern Hama demanded Turkey to take "a firm stand" against the Syrian government forces' violations and frequent shelling on areas in the de-escalation zone.

On Saturday, Israel detained a shepherd in the Quneitra governorate, Southern Syria, near the Syrian side of border with the occupied Golan Heights.

The Syrian government forces arrested 14 people from the city of al-Rastan north of Homs, Central Syria, for compulsory military recruitment.

Local residents found the body of a Jordanian citizen in the al-Suwayda governorate near the Jordanian border in Southern Syria.
