Aleppo - SMART
On Wednesday, the Islamic State (IS) claimed responsibility for an explosion that targeted the International Coalition forces and fighters of the Manbij Military Council of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in the city of Manbij in eastern Aleppo, Northern Syria.
IS media outlets reported that the IS sent a suicide bomber with an explosive belt to blow himself up amid an International Coalition military patrol in Manbij, without reporting further details.
Earlier on Wednesday, a suicide bombing killed a person and injured seven people at an early count in an explosion in Manbij.
Also in Manbij, unknown shooters attacked the court of the Manbij Military Council. Bombings and shootings are common in the SDF-controlled Manbij, killing civilians and fighters.
