Al-Hasakah - SMART

Two car bombs killed at least 40 civilians and wounded dozens, including children and women, in a gathering place of displaced people from Deir Al-Zour near the village of Abu Vaz, which is 60 km south of al-Hasakah, Northeast Syria.

On Friday, the Kurdish Red Crescent media official, Kamal Drabbas, told SMART that the injured and dead were transferred to the National Hospital in Al-Hasakah.

On Thursday, the President of the Relief and Development Rouge Apha Organization, Akram Suleiman, said that 7,000 families, consisting of 35,000 civilians, gathered in Al-Malha. They escaped from the ISIS-controlled areas in Deir Al-Zour due to intense aerial bombardment.

In August, mines planted by ISIS exploded, killing more than 10 civilians and injuring 25 others injured, including children and women.
