Aleppo - SMART

On Monday, a number of nursing students graduated from the Medical Institute of the Syrian Ministry of Health in Aazaz (48 km north of Aleppo), Northern Syria.

The director of the institute, Dr. Ali Al-Salloum, told SMART that eight students have been awarded certificates after two years of training.

He added that the batch is the second to graduate from the Institute, under the supervision and training of the local doctors and practice in the hospitals of Aazaz. He pointed out that the Institute does not receive any support and it aims to compensate for the shortage of medical staff.

The Azzaz area has been attended by 200 students since it was founded. The opening of a university with four faculties of different fields was announced this year.
