On Tuesday, the Lebanese Army arrested 79 Syrian refugees in the Zgharta district and Sidon city. They were accused of entering the country illegally and not having identity papers.

The National Information Agency said that the Military Intelligence Forces stormed the Ouzai refugee camp at the entrance to the northern city of Sidon. They arrested 50 refugees because they didn't have identification documents. The forces seized a car and five bicycles.

Last September, the State Security Forces in Lebanon arrested seven Syrians in the southern city of Nabatieh because they entered the country illegally. Human Rights Watch confirmed that Syrian refugees in the Lebanese town of Arsal were forced to return to their country.

Lebanon received more than one and a half million Syrian refugees. The refugees suffer from security threats and assaults. Furthermore, they were accused of contacting terrorists.
