More than 3,000 displaced people leave Al Hol camp, Al Hasakah

Al Hasaka - SMART

More than 3,000 displaced people left the Al Hol camp (70 km south of Al Hasaka), Northeastern Syria, heading for the loyalist forces- controlled areas and the areas under the Free Syrian Army’s control.

Earlier, the Manager of the AL Hol Camp of Rojava, Sulaf Mohammad Shekho, told SMART that the tenth and eleventh groups of camp residents, which number 3,110, left the camp, heading for the areas under the loyalist forces’ and the Free Syrian Army’s control in Northern Aleppo.

Shekho added that about 355 Syrian displaced people left the camp for other areas inside Syria

She also said that 129 Iraqi refugee families of 486 people, and about 25 Syrian displaced families of 109 people arrived at the Al Hol camp, adding that the camp’s administration transported them from the Rojm Al Salibi checkpoint and offered them basic services such as tents, food and water.

Last week, about 1,300 Iraqi refugee, and Syrian displaced families arrived at the Al Hol camp, coming from the ISIS-controlled areas in both countries.

The camp, with active traffic, hosts 4,300 Iraqi families of 20 thousand people and 150 displaced Syrian families of 600 people, according to the camp’s statistics from June. 12, 2016.
