Government bombing wounds civilians in Douma and Harasta cities east of Damascus

On Wednesday, a rocket attack wounded two civilians in the city of Harasta and another hit the city of Douma, 14 kilometers east of Damascus.

The local council of Harasta said in a statement on its Facebook account that loyalist forces launched surface-to-surface missiles, al-Fil type, on the center of the city, causing many women and children seriously injured and burned.

The council also said that the bombing of the government is a "continuing approach", which is the responsibility of international organizations and institutions concerned with human rights. The council pointed out that the city was targeted with 11 missile strikes with high destruction, while the activists told SMART that aircrafts are likely to be from the loyalist forces.

The Civil Defense said on its Facebook account that the outcome of the bombing of surface -to- surface missiles on the city of Harasta reached 56 missiles.

Heavy artillery shelling bombed residential areas in the city of Douma from surrounding locations, injuring civilians, according to the Civil Defense, whose teams transferred the wounded to medical clinics.

The Civil Defense added that a mortar shell targeted the town of Nashabiya, causing material damage, while the people told SMART that the source of the mortar shell is from loyalist forces stationed at the al-Marj military airport.

Bombing with various types of weapons hits the cities and towns of Eastern Ghouta on a daily basis, killing and injuring people, mostly civilians.
