The Kurdish Autonomous Administration in the Afrin Area, 43 kilometers north of Aleppo, Northern Syria, called upon the Syrian government to intervene to stop Turkish attack on Afrin.

The Kurdish Administration in Afrin delivered a statement in which it called upon the Syrian government to assume sovereign duties towards Afrin protect its borders with Turkey from "the attacks. Adding that the regime "has not fulfilled its responsibilities so far despite the government announced its attitude formally.

Earlier, Syrian Kurdish Democratic Council has said that it does not rule out coordination with Syrian government about the Afrin in case any Turkish attacks on the region.

A week ago, Syrian government threatened to target Turkish warplanes if Turkey decided to launch a military operation in the Afrin area in Northern Syria.

Days ago, factions of the Free Syrian Army (FSA) and Turkish soldiers launched a ground military offensive within operation called "olive branch" in the area of Afrin.
