Aleppo - SMART

On Friday, airstrikes from Turkish warplanes killed seven civilians from the same family in Mutabli (Mobata) in the area of Afrin, 43 kilometers north of Aleppo, Northern Syria. The city is under the control of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).

Sources from the SDF in Afrin told SMART that Turkish warplanes bombed the area after midnight, killing seven civilians, including four women, and wounding another, who was pulled out from the rubble this afternoon.

Two days ago, Turkish airstrikes killed and wounded many civilians in the town of Jindayris, controlled by the Kurdish People's Protection Units (YPG).

A week ago, the Free Syrian Army, backed by the Turkish Army, began a military operation called "Olive Branch" against YPG in the Afrin area.
