Kurdish People’s Protection Units bomb Kilis, Turkey, injuring two civilians

Two civilians were injuried in Kilis, Southern Turkey, by the Kurdish People’s Protection Units' (YPG) artillery bombing launched from Afrin, 43 km northwest of Aleppo, Northern Syria.

According to the Turkish news agency Anadolu, a shell hit a five-floor building in the city, injuring two civilians. The civilians were taken to the Kilis public hospital.

On Jan. 24, more than 15 civilians were killed and injured in YPG artillery bombings targeting Kilis.

On Jan. 21, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) accused the Turkish Army of bombing the Turkish city of Reyhanli and the Hatay province on the Syrian border.

Several artillery and missile attacks have been launched on Kilis and Reyhanli since the Turkish Chief of the General Staff launched the Olive Branch operation in collaboration with the Free Syrian Army against the YPG in Afrin.
