Loyalist Forces gain control of five villages in Eastern Idlib

Idlib - SMART

On Wednesday, the loyalist forces gained control of five villages in the eastern Idlib province in Northern Syria, amid intense aerial bombardment, artillery, and missiles on it.

SMART activists said that the loyalist forces gained control of the villages of Husseiniya, Zahabya, Kahf Marza, Jadida and Baragheti west of the Abu al-Duhur Airbase. Which is under the control of the Hayat Tahrir Al-Sham (HTS), which has been withdrawing from the villages, as a result of intense aerial bombardment, artillery, and missiles by the Syrian government and Russia.

The HTS’ media announced its targeting to the loyalist forces’ positions in the hill of Al-Maqbara south of the village of Husseiniya, with a car bomb, resulting in the deaths and injuries in the ranks of the loyalist forces.

The Idlib province is witnessing a military campaign by the loyalist forces supported by Russian warplanes.Which were enabled it of gaining control the Abu Harth military airport and tens of villages, leaving numbers of killed and wounded civilians, in addition to the destruction of a number of vital centers and the displacement of the people, according to UN statistics.
