On Thursday, the Free Syrian Army (FSA) announced that it had gained control over several villages in the Afrin area, Northern  Aleppo, Northern Syria, after clashes with the Kurdish People’s Protection Units.

FSA said in separate statements seen that it has gained control of the villages of Sharanli and Shadia and Coee in Rajo district. The Free Army-controlled areas have extended to Rajo with the regions of Sheikh al-Hadid.

The FSA also announced it gained control over the village of Jahla Tahtani in the Sheikh Al Hadid area in Western Afrin, and the town of Duraka in the northern part of Bulbul and the town of Diwan Faqani in the Jandiers district.

The FSA has been participating in the Turkish Army's military operation, Olive Branch, based in Afrin, since January, 20 They said that the process fights against the Kurdish Units, which constitute the most prominent force in the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).
