An intensified loyalist and Russian bombing on several towns and villages of Eastern Ghouta kills 29 civilians and injures dozens of others on Wednesday.

Local activists said that 22 civilians were killed, and dozens of others injured, by a series of Russian and loyalist airstrikes using missiles and explosive barrels, amidst an intensified artillery and rocket shelling on residential areas.

The activists added that an airstrike killed four civilians in Saqbah, two by a similar strike in Jisreen and one other in Hammouriyah. The Civil Defense announced that its volunteers managed to pull three children and a woman alive from under the rubble in Hammouriyah.

Artillery and missile bombings on Douma and Harasta caused injuries among civilians and activists assume that the toll will increase as the multi-weapon attacks continue. Activists pointed out that life manifestations disappeared from the streets due to that the people are taking shelter in their basements.

During the last few hours, the intensified bombings used mainly explosive barrels and cluster-bomb shells.

On its Facebook page, the Civil Defense pointed out that the death toll of yesterday, Tuesday, increased to reach 15 civilians, including four children and two women.

On Tuesday, 112 civilians were killed, and dozens of others injured, by an intensified loyalist bombing for three consecutive days in the towns and villages of Eastern Ghouta, using all kinds of weapons. A day earlier, a similar loyalist and Russian attack killed more than 100 other civilians.
