No civilians leave Eastern Ghouta

On Wednesday, military and civil groups denied any mass exodus of civilians from Eastern Ghouta, during the hours of the Russian-backed truce declared in the area two days ago.

Earlier on Wednesday, Vladimir Putin, the Russian President, said that Russia had evacuated a large group of civilians from Eastern Ghouta.

The head of Rif Dimashq Governorate Council stated that they didn't notice any exit from Ghouta, adding that “there could  be individual cases, which we did not know about.”

The head of the council added,"If there were any mass exodus of civilians from Eastern Ghouta, the Syrian regime would have photographed and marketed those operations.

Wael Alwan, the spokesman of the al-Rahman Corps, told SMART that he has no information about civilians leaving Ghouta, adding that Russian and loyalist bombings continued despite Russian-backed truce.(..),  and Russian media outlets transmit news, which is quite contradicted to truth, there is much news, which is not applicable to what is going on in the area.

Belal Abu Salah, a media activists, who was available near the al Wafideen crossing through which civilians were supposed to leave Ghouta, confirmed that no families left the area. Abu Salah noted that Syrian Red Crescent evacuated a Pakistani family, which has been living in Ghouta since 1988.  

Earlier on Wednesday, the Civil Defense said that ten airstrikes injured civilians in Utaya, Housh al-Dawira, al-Ash’ari, and Housh al-Salhia. The airstrikes coincided with intense artillery bombings, and Loyalist forces violated the ceasefire amidst frequent attempts to storm the area from different directions.
