1389 civilians killed in February in Syria

Syrian Human Rights Network said that 1389 civilians killed in February in Syria, including 930 due to loyalist bombings in Eastern Ghouta.

The network said in a report posted on its official website that Iranian-backed loyalist forces killed 1073 civilians, including 203 children and 179 women all over Syria in February. Russian troops killed 77 civilians, including 27 children and 12 women.

The network added that US-led International Coalition killed 102 civilians. However, the US-backed Kurdish People’s Protection Units(YPG) killed 12 civilians.

The network noted that Islamic State (ISIS) killed 41 civilians, including ten children and three women.Hayat Tahrir al-Sham(HTS) killed six civilians,

The network said that opposition’s military factions killed six civilians, including two children and a woman. Parties, which the network did not name, killed 77 civilians.

Russia and loyalist forces intensified bombings on Eastern Ghouta, killing and injuring hundreds of civilians as well as destroying infrastructure and medical facilities, amidst deteriorated humanitarian situation as civilians hid in underground cellars, which lacks the minimum means of life.
