Rif Dimashq - SMART

On Wednesday, the loyalist forces use chlorine gas in Eastern Ghouta, Rif Dimashq governorate, suffocating dozens of civilians.

A doctor in Hamoriya Hospital told SMART that they received dozens of wounded civilians, including 50 children who were transferred to another hospital.

A medical source at the surgical hospital in Saqba reported that they have received nine patients so far, and activists published pictures of the patients, including children and women, where they are treated with an anti-chlorine spray.

Russian warplanes and the loyalist forces bombed the towns of Saqba and Hamoriya with napalm phosphorus.

Earlier today, activists reported that 58 civilians were killed by an inconclusive explosion, and on Wednesday dozens of civilians were injured by heavy loyalist shelling on Eastern Ghouta.

Dozens of civilians, most of them women and children, were suffocated by the loyalist forces’ shelling on the town of Hamuriya 48 hours ago.

On Feb. 24, the United Nations Security Council issued Resolution 2401, which calls for a 30-day ceasefire in all of Syria, the permission of humanitarian aid including food and medicine to enter all besieged areas, including Eastern Ghouta, and the evacuation of injured civilians.
