The Syrian Network for Human Rights documented the killing of 84 civilians in one day by the loyalist and Russian bombing on the besieged villages and towns of Eastern Ghouta yesterday.

The network's statistics show that 84 civilians, including 17 children and six women, were killed by the loyalist and Russian bombing on the cities of Douma, Saqba and Arbin, and on the town of Ayn Tarma.

The study documented the killing of 56 civilians, including 14 children and six women, in Douma, 18 civilians in Saqba, four others, including two children, in Arbin, and three others in Ayn Tarma.

This morning, the loyalist forces escalated their operations in the "middle section" of Ghouta, targeting Arbin, Zamalka, Ayn Tarma and Hazzah with dozens of explosive barrels, amidst the intensified shelling by aerial bombs, artillery and missile shells.

After weeks of the loyalist and Russian military escalation, the loyalist forces divided Ghouta into three parts. The northern part includes the Jaysh al-Islam-controlled city of Douma and the Ahrar al-Sham-controlled city of Harasta. The loyalist forces blocked the roads and the supply routes between the two cities.

The loyalist forces seized several main towns in the al-Rahman Legion-controlled southern part of Ghouta. The loyalist forces seized the towns of Hammouryiah, Jisrin, Saqba and Kafr Batna, and the al-Rahman Legion maintained control of the towns of Arbin, Zamalka, Ayn Tarma, and the nearby district of Jobar.
