Aleppo - SMART

The endowments office of Western Aleppo, Northern Syria, suspends the Friday prayer in several villages under the control of the Syrian Liberation Front due to the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham's (HTS) attacks on the area.

In a decision published by a member of the Nur al-Din Zinki Islamic Movement's media office, the endowments office said that the suspension came "due to Hayat Tahrir al-Sham's continuous assaults on the towns and villages of the Western Aleppo countryside, bombing them with elephant and heavy artillery missiles."

The decision included suspending prayers in the villages of Makalbis, Batroun, Balanta, balah, Hir al-Darkal, Qayloun and Jamyiat Bala.

Clashes occurred in these areas today, as several civilians were injured yesterday due to a mutual bombing between the HTS and the Syrian Liberation Front in the villages of Balanta and Jamyiat al-Rahal; these bombings coincided with clashes between the two parties in the town of Ayn Jarah and the villages of al-Qalyoun, al-Habatah, Makalbis and Jamyiat al-Amin.

During this month, the clashes between the two parties killed and injured civilians, blocked roads, traffic and commercial activities, as the people demonstrated against the HTS and its leader, Abou Mohammad al-Gulani, demanding to neutralize the cities and towns from infighting.
