Hamah - SMART

The second transfer of Harasta city's displaced arrives to the town of al-Madyaq citadel, Hamah, Central Syria. This comes in accordance with an agreement to allow exit for the civilians and fighters wishing to leave besieged Eastern Ghouta.

Escorted by the Syrian Red Crescent, 57 buses carrying 3124 persons arrived to the town. Among them were two persons with medically critical condition. Several humanitarian organizations received the displaced persons and prepared to take them to temporary housing centers in Idlib and Aleppo.

Early on Saturday, the loyalist forces entered the city of Harasta, after the Ahrar al-Sham Islamic Movement's fighters, along with civilians completely withdrew from the city. This comes in accordance with an agreement to remove the fighters and their weapons. Russia and the Syrian government have guaranteed no displacement of civilians who wish to remain in the city.

Similar displacement of thousands of Syrians occurred earlier in the Barzah and al-Qaboun districts of Damascus, and in al-Tal, Daraya, Zabadani, Qudsaya, Barada valley and other locations in Rif Dimashq.
