Daraa - SMART

The tribal council of the town of Inkhil (45 kilometers north of Daraa), Southern Syria, announced its refusal of any "individual" battles against loyalist forces in the Daraa governorate.

In a statement obtained by SMART, the council said that the people of the town authorized it to make decisions in accordance with public interest. As such, the council has forbidden any individual military act in the town.

The council affirmed that it supports any collective military act that the Southern Front in the Daraa and al-Quneitra governorates decide to carry out.

The council pointed out that an individual military act is pointless and aims only to disturb the peace and stability of the citizens. The council has threatened to take necessary measures against violators.

On Mar. 4, 2018, a military leader of the Shabab al-Sunna faction, who calls himself Abou Husam, told SMART that the Free Syrian Army (FSA) factions are cooperative and are studying for a battle in Southern Syria that could affect the military situation in Eastern Ghouta. At the same time, highly ranked officers of the FSA denied any intention of a military act against the loyalist forces, due to "orders from abroad."
