Third group of displaced from Eastern Ghouta arrives at Hama

On Tuesday, the third group of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) from Eastern Ghouta arrives at the crossing of Qalat al-Madiq (42 kilometers northwest of Hama), Central Syria.

Activists reported that the group consisted of 105  buses carrying 5,6786 IDPs accompanied by the Syrian Red Crescent, including six ambulances. Several humanitarian organizations received the IDPs and transferred them to temporary shelters in Aleppo and Idlib.

Local activists pointed out that 14 of the most dangerous patients arrived in the Red Crescent ambulances and were accompanied by 20 facilities to transfer them to hospitals in Idlib.

The Directorate of Health has pledged to the governorates of Idlib, Hama and the Department of Civil Defense, in addition to a number of humanitarian organizations to provide medical assistance and a number of ambulances. Relief organizations have pledged to provide meals, baby milk, and other services to the IDPs upon arrival.

Yesterday, the second group of IDPs from Eastern Ghouta arrived at the crossing of Qalat al-Madiq (42 kilometers northwest of Hama), Central Syria.

On Friday, the al-Rahman Legion of the Free Syrian Army and Russia issued an agreement to leave the central sector of Eastern Ghouta, namely: the cities of Arbeen, Zamalek, the town of Ein Tirma, and the district of Jubar, Damascus. The agreement also provides exit for wounded patients t be treated without being tracked or forced to chose between returning to Eastern Ghouta or heading to Northern Syria after their recovery.
