Syrian government bombings injure civilians in Northern Homs

On Sunday, Syrian government bombings injured civilians in villages of Northern Homs in Central Syria.

The Civil Defense reported on Facebook that seven warplanes bombed the village of Izz al-Deen (28 kilometers north of Homs) 28 times, injuring a man and his wife. One of the wounded have major injuries.

Military observatories reported that the warplanes belonged to the Syrian government and took off from the al-Shu’airat military airbase east of Homs, and from the Hama military airbase.

The Civil Defense noted that a government shelling on residential neighborhoods of the village preceded the airstrikes. The bombing injured a civilian.

Similar shelling hit the village of al-Majdal in the town of al-Zaafarana, north of Homs, according to the Civil Defense. A government shelling hit the village of al-Sa’in, reporting no casualties.

Government massive artillery forces shelled the two villages of al-Farhaniya and al-Ghanotu in Nahiyat Talbiseh in Homs, from government outposts in the village of Akrad al-Dasneih, according to the activists.

The bombings come two days after the Syrian tycoon, Firas Tlass stated that he delivered the terms of an initiative to Russia and leaders in Northern Homs and Southern Hama to reach a way to administrated the cities and towns of the area. 

Government forces bomb the areas outside of their control in Northern Hama and Southern Homs on a regular basis, killing and injuring civilians, and destroying infrastructure and properties.
