Turkey - SMART

On Saturday, the loyalist forces seized strategic locations in the town of Yalda, Southern Damascus after clashes with the Free Syrian Army's faction and other Islamist battalions.

Local sources reported that the loyalist forces seized the locations through massive fire coverage, as they captured a crossroad that links the towns of Yalda, Hujairah and Al Hajar Al Aswad.

The sources added that before storming the locations, the loyalist forces bombed them with Surface-to-surface missiles, as the warplanes and helicopters raided the area for dozens of times.

The bombing killed Abu Fahed Hujaira, a leader of the Jaysh Al Ababil, and injured several fighters of the Free Syrian Army, and no casualties among the loyalist forces were reported, according to the sources.

On Friday, the loyalist forces seized the Sleikha street and the Ali Bin Abi Taleb mosque in the Tadamun district after clashes with Jaysh Al Ababil.

The loyalist forces, along with their allied Palestinian militias, launched a military operation on the Islamic State's locations in the town's nearby districts after the loyalist forces failed to expel ISIS to the Syrian Desert.
