Quneitra - SMART

On Monday, an Israeli far-ranged rocket hit a headquarters of the Syrian government forces in the village of Kowm al-Waisiyeh in Nahiyat Khan Arnaba, 9 kilometers north of al Quneitra, Southern Syria.

A local source told SMART that Israeli Army targeted the "90" Brigade of government forces using a far-ranged rocket. No information of casualties was reported.

Avichay Adraee, the spokesperson for Israeli Army, wrote on his official Twitter that Israeli bombing came in response to a mortar missile from Syrian territory. Adraee points out that they targeted one cannon in the "90" Brigade.

Adraee held the Syrian government responsible for all military actions in Syria. He added that Israel would respond to the attempt that threatens its security.

On Oct. 21, 2018, Israel bombed an outpost for the government forces in al Quneitra governorate, in response to a missile by the government’ troops on Golan occupied heights.

This Israeli bombing comes as part of a series of attacks against headquarters of the Syrian government forces and Hezbollah militia. Israel has recently bombed several outposts, the most prominent of which were al-Mazzeh military airbase, as well as a rockets launcher in Damascus.
