Leader: Syrian government wanted to distort our image before United Nations in al-Quneitra

Al-Quneitra - SMART

On Tuesday, a military commander told SMART that the Syrian government wanted to defame the image of the Free Syrian Army (FSA) in front of the United Nations delegation in al-Quneitra, Southern Syria.

The commander, who preferred not to be named, added that the Syrian government targeted with mortar town of Jabbata al-Khashab, which is controlled by the FSA, during the visit of a UN delegation and the FSA fighters will respond by targeting the city of Hadar.

The commander, located in Jabbata, added "The Syrian government expected that we would respond by targeting the town of Hadar in the presence of the international delegation, in order to create strife and to show the rebels as criminals, but we bombed the center of the al-Shabih militia gathering in the city of al-Baath".

He also said that the Syrian government “seeks to create sedition” between the neighboring villages in al-Quneitra and tries to force the FSA to target the towns of Hadar and Khan Arnabah.

Loyal page in Facebook published pictures where it stated that the vehicles of a UN delegation that had visited the Hadar town, in the past few hours.

A child was killed, and four others were wounded with a civilian, as a result of the loyalist forces’ artillery shelling Jabata al-Khashab, as the FSA responded by targeting the headquarters of the Syrian government and its militia in the city of al-Baath.
