Turkey - SMART

On Tuesday, Abdulrahman Mustafa, the head of the Syrian Revolution and Opposition Forces Coalition, stated that the Coalition seeks to "start work in Syria." The Coalition has been based in Turkey until now.

Mustafa delivered a press statement saying that the Coalition plans to open offices in the cities of al-Ra'i and Jarablus in Aleppo, Northern Syria. Al-Ra'i and Jarablus are controlled by the Free Syrian Army factions, which are backed by Turkey. The Coalition also plans to open offices in Southern Syria, according to the Coalition’s website.

Mustafa added that the Coalition drew up a plan to "strengthen relations with Syrians."

The Coalition, which is currently based in Turkey, faces criticism from civilians for its weak role in managing the Syrian issue and inability to propose projects and provide necessary support for Syrians in and outside Syria.
