Turkey - SMART

The Martyr Ahmad al-Abdo forces of the Free Syrian Army (FSA), operating in the Syrian Deseret, suspend their political office director after accusing him of exploiting his position for personal gains.

Fares al-Munajed, the media official of the Ahmad al-Abdo forces, reported that the forces announced that they had fired Jaser Abbara, after he had failed in his position as director of the political office. The statement also said that Abbara was against the Syrian government forces' presence in the Syrian Desert, after the end of the battle of "The Land is Ours"

Al-Munajed accused the director of the political office of cooperating with the Russian forces to conclude a de-escalation agreement in Eastern Qalamun, Southern Syria. Al-Munajed added that they will prosecute Abbara, who currently lives in France.

SMART is trying to communicate with the director of the political office of the Ahmad al-Abdo forces, Jaser Abbara, but has received no response thus far.

The Ahmad al-Abdo forces and other FSA factions controlled large areas in the Syrian Desert, which covers the area from the Eastern Damascus countryside, Southern Syria, to the Eastern Homs countryside, Central Syria. The factions left with the Jaysh al-Islam and the al-Rahman legion from the cities of al-Dumayr and al-Ruhaybah and headed for the Aleppo governorate in accordance with the agreement concluded between the FSA and Russia.
