The Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) in Southern Syria called its fighters to prepare for confronting the Syrian government forces and the Iranian militias supporting it in Daraa and Quneitra.

The commander of the Elite Forces of the HTS, Abu Musab al-Shami, threatened the Syrian government forces and the militias of "non-stop explosive devices." He called on the people of Daraa to be "strong" and urged the HTS members to fight the Syrian government without hesitation, according to the HTS media.

Earlier, the leader of the HTS in Daraa urged his members to prepare themselves to defeat any possible attack on the governorate by the Syrian governemnt forces and its supporting militias.

On Monday, the Syrian government forces advanced to the Harran battalion, east of Daraa. After that, civilians were displaced from the nearby town of Basra al-Hariri, fearing military escalation in the region.

Earlier on Monday, the Syrian government bombed the city of al-Hara, Daraa, killing and wounding a number of civilians. The Free Syrian Army (FSA) responded by shelling on the Syrian government bases.

The leader of the FSA predicted that the Syrian government would launch a large-scale attack on Daraa in the coming hours. The Syrian government had already brought huge military reinforcements to the outskirts of the governorate.
