Turkey - SMART

On Sunday, Israel launched a missile against a drone that came close to the border with the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights in Southern Syria.

Avichay Adra'i, the spokesman for Israeli Defense Army, stated on social media that the Israeli Army launched a Patriot missile against the drone. Adra'i did not confirm whether the missile hit the drone or not.

Adra'i noted that they spotted the drone before it "violated" Israeli air space.

A week ago, the Syrian government forces launched a military campaign in Eastern Daraa and Western Quneitra in Southern Syria, bombing the region with different kinds of arsenal. The bombings have killed and injured dozens of civilians so far, including children. The bombings destroyed 40 percent of the city of al-Hirak and 60 percent of the town of al-Maliha al-Sharqiya, and displaced tens of thousands of civilians.

The Syrian government forces sent reinforcements to start a military campaign against Daraa, which is included in the de-escalation zone agreed upon by Russia, the main military supporter of the Syrian government, Jordan and the United States last year.
